Product Details
A single powdered extract of Dandelion Leaf - (Taraxacum officinalis folia - for easy blending, part of the NDS® Herbal Simplex range.
The powdered extracts are concentrated and only a small amount of powder is needed daily. They generally mix well in water or juice and being alcohol-free, are very mild tasting. They can easily be taken by children, the elderly or by patients for whom alcohol is contraindicated.
The dosage of each herbal extract has been adjusted by the addition of small amounts of maltodextrin to produce a uniform dosing schedule. A typical dose of each extract is thus only 2.5ml, or one small measuring scoop, daily. This dosage schedule can of course be varied according to the individual prescription by the practitioner.
Ratio of Dandelion Leaf extract to maltodextrin is 4:1.
Weight of Dandelion Leaf extract is 30g
Uses
Dandelions, flowers, roots and leaves, have been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine & medicinal teas, most notably for liver detoxification, as a natural diuretic and for inflammation reduction. Unlike other diuretics, dandelion leaves contain good amounts of potassium, a mineral that is often lost during increased micturition. There is also evidence that this property of dandelion leaves may normalize blood sugar.. [Source - Wikipedia. Click here to read more]
